The Burger Shack Opens Tonight

The Burger Shack opens tonight at the Oakland Coliseum. The establishment is located on the first level concourse behind Section 132. A lunchtime sampling of the menu by ticket sales and services employees put nothing but smiles on people’s faces. Cheeseburgers, French Fries, and Texas Grilled Cheese sandwiches stuffed those smiling faces. The Burger Shack will be open at tonight’s game and throughout the season. Tell them Ticket Services sent you. That won’t get you anything special, but it’ll be fun to say regardless.

Gates open at 5:35 p.m. tonight.

First pitch is 7:05 p.m. vs. the Burgermore Baltimore Orioles

Let The Games Begin! (And a Free Event too.)

“Spring has sprung.” You’ll find that line used a lot this time of year. It’s catchy and cute, even though not very original. It is honest. Spring Training, at least the out-of-state variety, is complete. Right about now the A’s are taking the field for the first of three Bay Bridge Series games. The culmination of the series is in Oakland on Saturday. 1:05 start. But there’s also a special event on Sunday. Fan Appreciation Workout Day is this Sunday, April 6. Parking and admission are free to all fans. Here’s the skinny:

The A’s are pleased to announce a FREE “Fan Appreciation Workout Day“, presented by Sports Gallery, which will take place on Sunday, April 5 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Fan Appreciation Workout Day will give fans a chance to preview the complete A’s roster as the team holds its final workout before Opening Day 2009. Admission is FREE, parking is FREE. Parking gates open at 8 a.m. The event takes place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For more information click here. Enjoy an afternoon at the ballpark, check out the team, arrive early for a chance to receive an autograph voucher. 1,600 randomly distributed autograph vouchers will be handed out upon entry at the gates until gone. Q & A, photo areas, and more will continue throughout the event.

We’ll see you at the ballpark this weekend!
